Lemira clutched her head, but for the life of her, she couldn't remember what exactly happened during that crash.

After much pondering, she decided to give Lucian a call.

"Lemmy, you're calling me? What's up?" Lucian's voice was filled with surprise.

Lemira hesitated before speaking, "The accident back then... have we really not found the culprit?"

"Why bring this up all of a sudden? Did you remember something?"

"No, but Caspian mentioned that there was more to the accident than meets the eye, right?"

After Lemira's question, the line went silent.

Finally, Lucian spoke, "This isn't something we can clear up in a brief call. Can you come to the hospital?"

"Can't you just tell me over the phone?" Lemira didn't fancy the idea of visiting the hospital.

Lucian's voice carried a plea, "This is important. We need to talk face-to-face. Do you really not want to see me?" He coughed violently, and Lemira could hear doctors and nurses in the background.

"Mr. Langston, you can't neglect your meals any longer. You need to eat well."

"Mr. Langston, if this continues, we might have to operate on your stomach."

Listening in, Lemira couldn't quite pinpoint her feelings.

He seemed to be in serious condition, a stark contrast to his past self.

Soon, Hogan took the phone, "Ms. Lemira, he's off for treatment. Can you make it here later?"

Lemira was silent for a while before responding, "I'll see."

She hung up and scrolled through her phone, finding news articles about her recent slap incident, now clarified as a rehearsal gone wrong.

Feeling upset, Lemira left the base through a side door and headed straight to the gym.

"You got time today?" she asked in astonishment.
