Lucian let out a sigh, "I know, but Lemmy's not as easy to coax as before. If you didn't have an umbrella, why didn't you just have the driver send it instead of insisting on getting the one she had?"

He knew Lemira wasn't taking kindly to them these days, yet he still expected her to give in! Wasn't that just asking for trouble himself?

"I was just trying to save time, and besides, can Lemira really handle such a big umbrella by herself? If she doesn't want to give it, fine, but to actually resort to hitting me?"

After coming back, Alaric was more fuming when he thought about it, "No, this won't do. I need to send her a message to clear things up."

Alaric's face turned pale with anger; gritted his teeth, he snapped, "She deleted me! How dare she!"

Lucian was somewhat helpless, "I've warned you, don't act rashly. You're still in the cooling-off period, you can't just go see her. If she calls the cops, you could be in trouble."

"Am I supposed to be scared of her? Fine, I'll act like I don't have a sister like her!"

In a fit of anger, Alaric threw his phone down! He couldn't believe he had been deleted, feeling utterly humiliated.

"Stop talking nonsense. She's going through her rebellious teenage years, and she's been wronged before and influenced by that school doctor, that's why she's become like this.

She's our sister, and nothing can change that."

Lucian's resolve was clear, "I'll find a way to bring her home. If you don’t want to lose your sister, don't do anything."

Alaric stayed quiet after that.

During dinner, he barely touched his food, "Who made it? It's awful. What happened to the chef we had before?"

The butler replied uneasily, "The pork was actually made by Ms. Langston before. She adjusted the seasoning to your taste, and the other chefs can’t replicate it."

Lucian puzzled, "Influenced by us? What do you mean?"

"Actually, Evelina's grades have always been average, but Lemira is quite intelligent. Could it be because you've been focusing too much on Evelina, so Lemira deliberately performed poorly to avoid putting pressure on Evelina?

I probably shouldn't be the one to say this, but Evelina is a bit petty, and that might be why Lemira's grades have been poor these last three years."
