Alaric was anxious, "Lucian, Eve never felt at home with us, and now with Lemira stirring things up, it's like we're pushing her out. Don't you see? Eve hasn't done anything wrong."

"Eve's father saved her life. A little hardship for Lemira in comparison is nothing. We should be thankful and show some gratitude!"

Hearing this, Lucian suddenly clutched his chest, struggling to breathe from the anger. He blacked out with Lemira's name still on his lips. He felt he had wronged his sister deeply.

Having left the Langston mansion, Lemira hailed a cab to the apartment. She was finally free from the Langston's shadow.

As she was about to knock on Orion's door, it swung open.

"Congrats, sweet Lemon!" Thaddeus held a party cracker that showered her in colorful confetti.

Lemira was surprised. Orion wasn’t far, leaning against the kitchen island, a small cake sitting nearby.

Thaddeus stood there, "Isn't today like your rebirth, leaving the Langstons and all? Got a cake to celebrate that!"

Understanding the ordeal Lemira had gone through with the Langstons, he felt compassionate, compelled to support her.

"Thanks," Lemira’s eyes tingled with emotion.

"Don't mention it, we're friends after all. Let's eat, blow out the candle, and make a wish."

Lemira wished for a life free from the Langstons, to live for herself from now on.

After dinner, Orion asked, his tone calm, "What do you want to do now?" Whatever it was, he was ready to support her.

Lemira pondered, "Maybe start a live stream and earn some money."

Since she already left the Langston mansion, making a living was what she needed to do right now.
