She sat inside the iron cage, gazing at Scarlet with icy detachment. Her eyes were cold, utterly unruffled, as if she were merely watching a clown’s performance.

Scarlet’s face twisted with rage, making her look almost demonic.

She lunged toward the bars, her eyes wild. “You bitch! Thanks to you and Mandy, I have nothing left! I’ve got nothing to lose anymore—if I go down, I’m taking you with me!”

A manic gleam lit up Scarlet’s eyes as she leaned in closer. “I can’t wait to see Sean’s face when I’ve tortured you to death. I bet the look on his face when he finds your corpse will be absolutely priceless. Ha! Hahaha—”

Claire’s eyes narrowed. “I don’t have long left anyway. But you? You’ve got decades ahead of you. If I can trade my life for yours, I’d say it’s worth it.”
