This time, Sean finally reacted.

“Isn’t there a sample of my sperm at the Northcrest Hospital’s sperm bank? Just use that.”

It had been the old lady’s idea to freeze Sean’s sperm in the first place.

She’d noticed her eldest grandson had absolutely no interest in women, and, fearing that the quality of his sperm would decline as he got older, she’d urged him to have it preserved while he was still young.

If he was truly set on never having a child the traditional way, at least this gave him another option to continue the family line.

The old woman let out a weary sigh. “Very well. But do you have any preferences for the mother of your child?”

Sean stared blankly ahead, his eyes cold and unblinking. “I don’t care,” he replied flatly.

If it wasn’t Claire, any other woman’s egg was all the same to him.

Seeing the emptiness in Sean’s eyes, the old lady felt a sharp pain in her chest.

Sean glanced up, his gaze still hollow and detached. “What is it?”

Jeffry took a deep breath, steadying himself before he spoke. “Sir, your sperm sample at Northcrest Hospital’s sperm bank was tampered with—over two years ago.”
