In the emergency room waiting area, Sherilyn sat on a bench, her hands clasped in front of her, tightening as her anxiety grew.

Sherilyn's response was a cold, slight laugh. "Mr. Harrison, I respect you as an elder and have no desire to argue at a time like this. Please, be patient and wait for the test results."

"Sir!"

Nolan intervened, whispering, "This really isn't Ms. Gomez's fault... Mr. Gilbert was fine just seconds before he collapsed. They were even laughing together."

Naylor, feeling the weight of his son's condition, glared at Nolan. "If anything happens to Gilbert, every single one of you... everyone who's been around him... will be held responsible!"

"Yes, sir," Nolan replied, head bowed, not daring to say more.

Her brow furrowed. "You weren't aware of this? My brother, Francis Johnson, he informed me. It was your eldest son's doing."
