Jenna raised her little arms, covering her two hair clips, “Mister gave them to me! Jenna likes them!” 

“You, child…” 

“It’s okay.” 

Gilbert chuckled, smoothing things over, “I gave them to Jenna, they’re not anything expensive. Let the kid have her fun with them.” 

“But, this…” 

“Jenna.” 

Not letting Sophia say more, Gilbert waved at Jenna, “I gotta go now, say bye to me.” 

“Okay, bye.” 

“Bye.” 

Not far away, Sherilyn stood frozen in shock! 

So, the Minnie Mouse clips were for Jenna… Gilbert had bought them for Jenna! 

He knew Jenna? Not just knew her, but it seemed Jenna really liked him too! 

How did things get to this point?! 

Did she miss something?! 

When Sophia returned with Jenna, Sherilyn had already gotten back earlier. 

Hearing Sophia muttering, “Huh? Your mum’s shoes are here, your mum’s back! Oh no, your mum’s gonna be mad!” 

Sherilyn walked out upon hearing this, “What’s up? Why would I be mad?” 

“Mummy!” Jenna’s eyes sparkled as she joyfully jumped into her mother’s arms, “Mummy’s back!” 

“Jenna, sweetie.” Sherilyn lifted Jenna, helping her take off her thick coat. 

“Look.” 

Sophia pointed at Jenna’s head. Being a maid, she naturally couldn’t hide it from Sherilyn, her employer.

“This little one, got to know a guy from who knows where, and took two hair clips from him.” 

Thinking it over, she added, “The same guy I told you about, the one we met in the park last time.” 

“Mummy!” 

Before Sherilyn could speak, Jenna tugged anxiously at her mum’s arm, shaking it, “He is a nice guy!” 

“Nice guy?” Sophia tapped the little one’s head, “Just because he gave you hair clips, he’s a nice guy? It’s just a pair of hair clips, what do you know? They’re not worth much!” 

Shaking her head, she rolled up her sleeves and turned towards the kitchen, “I’ll let your mum teach you, I’m off to cook.” 

Sherilyn remained silent, her gaze fixed on the two hair clips on Jenna’s head, her brows furrowed. 

Those hair clips were not cheap. Sophia didn’t understand, thinking they were just rhinestones, but in reality, each one was inlaid with real diamonds! 

“Jenna.” 

With a stern voice, Sherilyn said, “Sophia is right, it’s not right to just accept gifts from anyone. Take the hair clips off, and the next time you see him, give them back to him.” 

She was feeling very confused.
