"What's this all about?"

Adela shot back with a frosty gaze, "What's not to like about Yuna? The Martins are a respected family steeped in culture..."

"A respected family steeped in culture, my foot!"

Edgar grabbed his phone, swiped to unlock it, and started scrolling until he found that photo and forwarded it to Adela.

His mouth twisted into a sneer, "Sent it to you. Have a good look! This is the gem of a daughter-in-law you've been so keen on picking out!"

With that, he abruptly turned and left.

"Edgar! Where are you off to? The Martins are coming over for dinner tonight!"

Adela massaged her forehead in distress, looking over at her husband, "What are we going to do now?"

Gaylord frowned, nudging her to check her phone. "Did Edgar send you something?"

"What? Oh."

Adela, snapping out of it, quickly picked up her phone and opened the message, "Oh my God!"

Instantly, her face turned pale, her vision darkened, and she swayed on her feet.

Startled, Gaylord rushed to support his wife, taking the phone to see for himself, and his face immediately turned steely, "Those Martins!"

"Hmph!" Adela, steadying herself on her husband's arm, clenched her teeth in anger. "So much for a respected family! Well, fantastic! Just great!"

Immediately, she instructed the servants.

"Stop everything! No more fussing about!"

She then turned and went upstairs. A short while later, she came back down, dressed differently.

Gaylord looked at her worriedly, asking, "What are you planning to do?"

"Mind your own business." Adela scoffed coldly, "What kind of people do the Fergusons take us for? The Martins pull off such a shameless act? And I'm supposed to swallow this?"

...

At the Martins'.

"Mrs. Ferguson."

Malvina, having given the servants the night off because they were expected at the Fergusons for dinner, answered the door herself.

Seeing Adela, she instantly plastered a smile on her face, though puzzled.

"Mrs. Ferguson! Don't push it! We Martins may not be as prestigious as the Fergusons, but we're not to be trifled with!"

"Oh, the nerve!" Adela smirked venomously, "Sounds just like our family dog!"

Malvina's face went white.

Before she could react, Adela pressed the photo onto her face, "Take a good look! Your shameless daughter!"

What? Malvina looked at the photo and her face fell.

She had told Yuna to cut ties with that blond boy immediately! Not only had she not listened, but now the Fergusons had caught it on camera!

"Mrs. Ferguson!"

"Pah!" Adela spat on the ground in disgust. "My poor son, to be involved with such trash, it's bad luck!"

"Mrs. Ferguson, there must be some misunderstanding..."

"A misunderstanding my foot!"

The thought of her darling son being cuckolded was unbearable for Adela.

"Listen well! I've printed a whole stack of your daughter's disgraceful photos, and right now, they're being shared with your neighbors!"
