Sherilyn frowned, not really in the mood to head over.

"Sherilyn!" Karol, however, was bursting with excitement as she grabbed her, "Mr. Johnson is calling you, come on, let’s hop into Mr. Johnson’s ride!"

Half-dragged by her, Sherilyn made her way towards the sleek Bentley.

"Gilbert."

Just then, Caroline emerged, already changed out of her period costume, walking straight towards Gilbert with a light smile.

"Sorry, did you wait long? My bad, period costumes are a bit of a hassle to take off."

As she spoke, she made her way to the passenger side, effortlessly opening the door and sliding in.

Sherilyn stopped in her tracks.

"What’s going on?" Karol frowned, muttering discontentedly, "Wasn’t Mr. Johnson here for you? How come Caroline got in the car?"

Sherilyn simply smiled, nonchalantly, "Guess the Bentley’s off the table. We might as well take the crew’s van, or we’ll end up hailing a cab."

Right there, a crew van was parked.

Sherilyn approached, "Hey, can we get a lift?"

"Of course." The driver, a young guy in his early twenties, blushed seeing such a beautiful girl asking. He stumbled over his words, "P-please, get in."

"Thanks." Sherilyn smiled at him, then turned to call Karol, "Karol, over here! Let’s go!"

"Eh, alright."

Dinner was set at The Sizzling Griddle, not too far from the crew's location. They arrived quickly.

As she was getting out, Sherilyn tripped and nearly fell out of the van.

"Careful!"

Someone nearby quickly reached out, catching her in time.

Sherilyn, still a bit shaken, thanked him with a smile, "Thanks a lot."

"No problem." The young man smiling back at her was none other than the driver.

"Sherilyn, you okay?" Karol followed, supporting her, "Be careful, why rush out like that?"

Upon sitting, Gilbert spotted Sherilyn in a corner, chatting closely with Karol, seemingly engrossed in their conversation.

"Mr. Johnson, it’s an honor to have you here tonight..."

The table engaged in small talk.

Gilbert, distracted, split his attention between the conversation and Sherilyn's table.

Their corner was relatively secluded, and not all seats were taken.

Moreover, the colleagues' glances toward Sherilyn tonight were subtly different.

Everyone noticed Mr. Johnson’s arrival, but it seemed he was there for Caroline...

"Has Sherilyn fallen out of favor?"

"Hard to say about favor, but who is Caroline? She’s got the Johnson brothers wrapped around her finger. Is any beautiful woman really a match for her?"

"Mr. Johnson is just looking for something new, that’s all."

"Besides, Mr. Johnson is a man, after all, he has his... needs...haha..."
