Sherilyn clutched her head in agony, her emotions spiraling out of control.

The door burst open as Galen rushed in, both of them moving swiftly towards each other.

Galen: "What are you doing here?"

Edgar: "What did you say to Sherilyn? Why is she like this?"

"Sherilyn!"

Edgar sat down on the edge of the bed, wrapping Sherilyn in his arms, "It's me, Edgar! I told him to leave! He's gone, okay?"

"Aren't you leaving yet?" Galen's disdain for Gilbert was palpable. "My sister doesn't want to see you!"

Gilbert's lips were a thin line, his jaw clenched tight. He glanced at Sherilyn, then abruptly turned away.

The door to the room shut behind him, and Gilbert closed his eyes in resignation. Sherilyn truly does not even wish to see him anymore! But while she could choose to not see him, he couldn't just stand by and do nothing about her!

Gilbert looked at Edwin Morris, his brows furrowed, "Mr. Morris, I need to discuss something with you..."

"Tell them, how long do you go to jail for making false accusations?"

"False accusations, depending on the severity, can lead to up to three years in prison, detention, or surveillance. In serious cases, three to ten years."
