According to the doctor, surgery was imperative and should be done immediately. However, their hospital's top surgeon had just left for an international conference a few days ago.

Now, they had no choice but to go with a less experienced surgeon.

The patient's family had a right to know all of this.

And so, the Galloway family found themselves at an impasse, debating heatedly at the doorway of the hospital room.

"Whose idea was it to bring him to this hospital?"

"What are you implying with that question? Wasn't it about which hospital was closest at the time?"

"So, what do we do now? Just let any doctor operate because the chief isn't here?"

"How is that 'just any doctor'?"

"Stop arguing!"

Kearney's voice cut through the tension as he suggested, "What about transferring to another hospital?"

"How could we possibly do that?"

This suggestion was quickly dismissed.

The doctor had mentioned that the optimal time for surgery was within the next two hours. Transferring would waste precious time and possibly miss this critical window.

"So, what do you suggest we do?"

The bickering continued, with no one able to make a definitive decision.

Rebecca White understood the gravity of the situation and felt equally helpless. But like everyone else, she had no solution.

"Rebecca."

Frank suddenly spoke up, "I can arrange for the best neurosurgeon from Sunhaven to come here."

"Really?"

Rebecca's eyes widened in surprise as she looked into his eyes.

She knew he was telling the truth!

But why would he go to such lengths for her?

"Let's do that."

"That's wonderful!"

Kearney hurriedly nodded, "Thank you, I'll go right away."

The chaotic scene was finally under control as the family followed Kearney to the doctor's office.

After the consultation with the doctor and Kearney signing the necessary documents, the specialist arrived, assessed Galloway's condition, and then proceeded to the operating room.

Not wanting to run into Kearney, Rebecca didn't wait outside the operating room.

Frank kept her company, waiting in the hospital's lobby.

"Here." Frank handed her a bottle of water.

"Thank you," Rebecca said, taking the bottle and gently rotating it in her hands. "For everything you've done for my grandfather... thank you, truly... I appreciate it."

"Rebecca."

Frank turned to look at her, his gaze warm and sincere, "I know this might not be the best time, but I want you to know, I'm serious about taking care of you, about being there for you."

Rebecca was taken aback.

She hadn't expected his heartfelt declaration and found herself at a loss for words.
