Chapter 109 How to Train a Pet 

After finishing the barbecue, nelie and Mona returned to their apartment. 

Emelie started preparing things for Greta’s hospital visit the next day while Mona scrolled through her phone on the couch. 

Suddenly, she exclaimed excitedly. “Emelie!” 

“What?” Emelie looked over.

Emelie’s eyebrows shot up. “Huh?” 

“I was scrolling through my Instagram, and I saw my former boss posting a job opening for a department manager. 

“I thought you’d be a good fit, so I chatted with her and sent her your resume. She said you’re highly qualified!” 

Emelie recalled. “You used to work at Primepoly, right? Wasn’t there a colleague who always bullied you, so you quit? 

“Yeah, though Primepoly can’t compare to Clouder. But let’s be honest How many companies can match up with Cloudex? Primepoly is already decent compared to others. 

“Except for that bitchy colleague, everyone else was nice. If it weren’t for that bitch, I wouldn’t have lett.

Soon after, Mona shared some gossip with Emelie. She revealed that Riley had recently experienced a breakup and cried until her eyes were swollen. 

Emelie quickly deduced that Lyle must have been the one to dump her 

“Ms. Merrill said she’d like to treat us to dinner tonight to get to know each other.” Mona urged Emilie. 

“Let’s go. Even if it doesn’t workout, having dinner together won’t hurt. It’s all ladies.” 

Upon listening to her words, Emelie didn’t hesitate to agree. “Okay.” 

If she could find a job, it would be like hitting two birds with one stone. It would cover the costs of Greta’s recovery period after surgery. 

After Emelie took her cough medicine, she changed her clothes and applied light makeup. 

In the evening, they took a cab to Westward Club, where Riley asked to meet. 

As they stepped into the Westward Club, someone called William. 

Lyle lit cigarette and flicked off the ash with his fingers. 

“When William answered the call, Lyle chuckled and said disdainfully in his Eprandian accent, “Will, come and see how I train a pet.” 

As soon as Emelie and Mona entered the private room, they felt something was off. 

Seated in the room was not only Riley but also a lecherous–loolding man whose eyes lit up as soon as he saw them. 

Mona and Emelle exchanged a glance. 

The former forced a smile through her discomfort and said, “Ms. Merrill, why didn’t you tell me you had a guest? 

“Sorry for disturbing you. We’ll leave you to enjoy your time. Let’s catch up another day,” 

As they turned to leave, Riley quicldy blocked their path. “Hey, you’re already here. Why wait for another day? Besides, Mr. Willis is not a stranger. He’s a special guest Limited.” 

She pushed Emelie forward. “Primepoly is too small to accommodate someone as talented as you, Ms. Hoven.
