Eric pressed his lips together, his deep eyes fixed on Kate. After a long pause, he spoke in a low, muffled voice, “Headache.”

Kate looked at him anxiously, raising her hand to gently massage his head. “Is there anything else. uncomfortable?”

Eric shook his head.

Kate shook her head. “It wasn’t hard. Ric, are you hungry? Let me feed you something. Hendrick brought porridge…”

She started to unpack the food box, carefully scooping a spoonful of porridge. After blowing on it to cool it down, she brought it to Eric’s lips.

Since Eric had just woken up, it wasn’t suitable for him to eat too much, especially with his anorexia and fragile digestive system. She carefully wiped his mouth and then started sipping her own porridge, all the while watching Eric.
