She took a deep breath and pulled open the door into the backseat. "I won't say no if you're offering to be my driver. Redwood Gardens. Step on it."

"Redwood Gardens? That sounds familiar," Lyle said as he started the car. Then he remembered. "Isn't that Will's property? Why are you going there?"

Emelie said nothing.

Lyle snorted and teased her, "Of course, honored guest. I'll drive you there now."
