"Is there anything you would like to tell me, aunty?" Monique asked in a straightforward manner.

Siobhan let out an awkward smile, "Since you've asked, then I'll just blurt it out."

Monique nodded. It would best to have stated it clearly, rather than to have others having talked behind her back.

"I heard rumors that Henry, which is your current boyfriend," Siobhan emphasized, "is the chairman of the Marriott International. You see, Yvonne has no job currently and your uncle is very worried about her. Say, do you think it’s possible for you to get her a job at Marriott International? That will make your uncle rest assured as well, right?"

Monique's expression had turned pale. She knew that Siobhan must have had something in mind and indeed it turned out that she needed her help, or else she would not have spoken to her in such a polite tone. However, she had never expected it to have been this matter.

For any other people, this matter would have been a piece of cake but not for Monique's case. First of all, Monique's relationship with Henry was not that good which would have allowed her to have assigned her own relatives to a job in the company. Besides, even if Henry had been willing to do so, Monique would have rather not begged Henry.

Monique had been troubled as Siobhan kept mentioning how her uncle would have felt. It had been as plain as the sky that she wanted Monique to have helped Yvonne out for the sake of her uncle. Monique had wondered if she would have hurt his feelings if she had rejected them flat out.

"Aunty, it's not up to me to decide as I can't interrupt with the company's affair." Monique spoke in a hesitant manner as she tried to have made up some excuse.

Yvonne was exasperated having seen Monique trying to have rejected their request. 'Looks like someone is starting to forget their roots after climbing the social ladder.'

Siobhan's expression darkened as well, but for the sake of Yvonne, she fought hard internally to put on a smile and said, "Of course, I understand that as the girlfriend of the chairman, you're exempted from going to work, but as long as you have a word with chairman Moore, I'm sure it's an easy feat."

Monique stuttered and was left speechless.
