What instructions did Henry Moore give?

The thought of him gave Monique a headache. She gave Manager Harper a small smile and said, “I’m good with being an aide in the planning department. I will personally speak to the chairman about my appointment.”

There was no point hiding her involvement with Henry Moore. Especially when they knew who she was.

Everyone believed she was the chairman’s lover and she did not have the energy to argue or clarify. They were not wrong.

How could she say that she was an unwilling lover?

There was a possibility she would change her mind in the future.

Monique’s eyes darkened and she stood up. “Manager Harper, how do we proceed?”

The determination in her voice was a good enough reason for Manager Harper to relent.

He had a newfound respect for Monique. She could easily get any high-paying position but she opted to start from scratch.

Manager Harper nodded and instructed his secretary, “Charlotte, get me the employee induction form.”

“Yes, sir.”

“It’s alright. I can follow you out and fill up the form,” Monique said to the secretary. Then, she gave Manager Harper a grateful smile and said, “Thank you for hearing me out and for your hospitality.”

Monique appreciated the man’s offer of a better position but she wanted to rely on her own ability.

If she did have what it takes, she would naturally rise up the ranks.

“You’re welcome. If you face any problems, drop by my office and we can chat. I’ll gladly help if I can,” Manager Harper presented her with a sincere smile.

The smile was not obligatory. It was a smile that signaled the start of a friendship
