Mandy opened the door, where Mr. Moore stood. Before she could open her mouth, Henry spoke first, his voice low, “Take this in.”

Henry brought two big bags of food. Other than dinner, he bought some snacks too. He was fast; he had bought so many things so quickly. Mandy took them and whispered, “Mr. Moore, don’t you want to eat with Miss Xander?”

His dark pupils sank; he looked through the gap in the door and saw that she had already changed into fresh clothes. Her hair was dry and she was sitting on the sofa, daydreaming as she stared out the window. She probably did not want to see him. She must have hated him for treating her like that, and that he even sent her childhood friend to the police station. She had no other way to resist, so she wanted to commit suicide. She did not even want to care for Angel anymore. He was probably the last person she wanted to see. His eyes dimmed and he simply said, “Tell her that Angel misses her a lot!”

Angel was her only hope to live.

Mandy was informed to send some clothes over, so she did not have any chance to go out. She thought Miss Xander accidentally fell into the water, and Logan was hurt when he tried to save her. She never thought about a suicide. Besides, she knew that they were fighting because of Simon. However, the chairman still cared for Miss Xander. He was such a stubborn man. She thought all this in her heart, even though she looked respectful toward him and replied, “Yes, sir.”

Mandy thought he was done. The food she was carrying was heavy, and she wanted to get back into the ward. Then, Henry thought of something and said, “Monique’s phone dropped into the water. Have someone fix it later. Replace it with a new one if it’s broken.”

‘Mr. Moore, sir, could you just say everything now. These bags are heavy.‘ Mandy thought. However, she did not express it. She gave him a professional smile instead and replied, “Yes, sir. I’m going in now if there isn’t anything else.”

She was in a hurry to get back to the room.
