When Irene returned to the hospital, she saw that Edric was playing with Eden in the ward. It was such a happy, blissful scene. Eden couldn't help but get excited when he saw Irene had arrived. "Mom! Edric said that when I get discharged, he'll take me boating at the park. Can you come with us?"

"Sure." Irene didn't want to disappoint Eden, hence she decided to play along with it.

"Edric also said that he would give me a toy boat that can shoot water! Next time I'll be able to play with my toy boat in the pool." Irene gazed at Edric with a blank expression. Edric was clearly trying to bribe Eden by giving him toys, but Irene would not let him get his way. "Eden, have you forgotten what I told you? If you like a toy, you can ask me to buy it for you. But you're not allowed to take things from strangers."

"But Edric said that's a limited edition toy, most people won't be able to get it." Eden pouted.

"If I can't buy it, you can ask Nathan to buy it for you. Uncle Nathan is not like most people. He's a superman!" Irene crouched down to meet Eden's eye level.

"That's right! Nathan is a big CEO; he's extraordinary." Eden's eyes lit up. "Edric, I don't want your toy boat anymore. My mom says I can't accept gifts from strangers, so I'm sorry."

Suddenly, Edric's smile faded a little, and his eyes grew dark. Irene was completely shutting him out!

Irene was still fuming from her encounter with Margaret a while ago. She felt so vexed to see Edric's face at this moment. If Eden wasn't there with them, she would have kicked him out right there and then. For Eden's sake, she had to suppress her anger. After she coaxed Eden into sleeping, her expression flipped to a serious one and she said, "Mr. Myers, please don't come here again, okay?"

"Why? Didn't you agree to let me stay with Eden until he recovered?" asked Edric.

"Yes, at first. The circumstances have changed now." Irene looked at Edric coldly. "Nathan and I are getting married soon. Eden also sees Nathan as his father. You have no right to be here!"

"Are you worried that I would be a hindrance to your marriage?" There was hurt in Edric's eyes. "Irene, you said that you wouldn't stop me and Eden from spending time together. What is going on?"

"For someone like you who goes back on his word, there is no need for me to keep my word." Irene didn't mince her words at all. "Edric, I know what you are up to. But I'm telling you now, I will never compromise. If you have something planned up your sleeve, bring it on!"

Edric was stupefied for a moment and immediately reacted, "Did my mother say something to you again?"

Irene sneered. "Don't pretend like you don't know. Be a man and admit it. Don't push everything to your mother like a child."

Edric's face turned pale and he left the hospital without saying a word. He needed to see Margaret and ask her what tricks she was up to again. In the face of his aggressive questioning, Margaret answered calmly, "Son, I am doing this for your own good. Irene is about to marry Nathan. I just want to stop her."

Breathless with raging fury, Edric had nothing to say to Margaret. He called John and said, "Send a private jet to take Mrs. Myers away immediately!"

"I'm not leaving!" Margaret started to panic when she saw his ferocity.

Edric didn't care. "Mom, you have to leave this time. There's no room for discussion!"

Margaret sat down dejectedly. It seemed that she had no choice but to return this time. It was Joanne's horrible idea that got her in this mess. She called Joanne angrily and chastised her, but Joanne was far from bothered. "Congratulations, Mrs. Myers. You'll soon be able to fulfill your wishes!"

"What are you talking about? Don't make flippant remarks!" hissed Margaret.

"Have you forgotten about the Plan B I told you about? Isn't this the perfect opportunity?" Margaret's eyes lit up when she was reminded of the backup plan. Her anger subsided at once. This was indeed a perfect opportunity for her!

Eden stayed at the hospital to be treated for one more day. The next day, he was discharged and Irene brought him home. Coincidentally, it was his birthday that day. Hence, Nathan had already planned a small birthday celebration at home to cheer him up.

Nathan had invited quite a few children from the neighborhood to join in. Eden had been bored out of his mind at the hospital. Thus, after receiving so many gifts and having so many people celebrate with him, he was extremely happy. As they sang a birthday song for him, Eden, Irene and Nathan blew out the candle together. Then Eden put his hands together and started to make a wish.

After the wish, Nathan asked him curiously, "Tell me, what did you wish for?"

Eden whispered a few words into Nathan's ear. Nathan smiled and kissed Eden's cheek a few times. Britney and Irene were very curious. "Well, what did Eden wish for?"
