"Are you serious?" Margaret's face suddenly changed. Her own father had previously been seduced by her mother's best friend, hence her strong hatred for mistresses. Although she knew Deborah had been a mistress, for the sake of dealing with Irene, Margaret had kept one eye closed to the matter. Now that this matter had been exposed by her friends, she could not play dumb anymore even if she wanted to.

Amanda continued, "At that time, Edric was still with his ex-wife right? Lily was feeling resentful, so she got the paparazzi to follow Edric and purposely told them to make up stories about him. She even asked Freya to hire someone to stir up trouble at Edric's ex-wife's company, and to scold her for being a mistress. "Freya. In order to please her, Freya has done so many things for her, but guess what? She didn't show any mercy at all. She promised to give Freya a sum of money and a good job after she took the blame for her. Unexpectedly, both those promises have yet to be fulfilled. Freya was so angry that she exposed the truth."

"There's no credibility to her words. Maybe it's revenge."

"As the saying goes, there can be no smoke without fire. There must be some truth to it," Amanda could tell that Margaret did not believe her so she said, "Lily is not as gentle as you think. She is simply a shrew. I saw her swearing at a nurse in the hospital that day, that look she had on her face? Tut tut..."

Margaret had seen the video she mentioned, and her heart sank. Indeed, there would be no smoke without fire. Lily wasn't as simple as she seemed.

Thinking of how she used to think so highly of her and trusted her so much, Margaret felt unsettled.

Since she had been to jail, Freya had trouble finding a job. Deborah asked someone to find a job for her. The job was very easygoing and the salary was good. The only condition was that she could never appear in front of Lily again so that it would not affect her.
