Steven held uncertainties towards Deborah. When he went back, he looked at Deborah with a suspicious look.

"How would I know?" Marie replied angrily. When she figured out that everything had happened because of Deborah, she grew full of anger. She had the urge to slap Deborah across the face.

Realizing her rude attitude, Marie raised her cup and took a sip of tea. This helped ease her dissatisfaction towards Deborah, and she had no choice but to suppress her anger in her heart for the time being.
