Jordan knocked hard on the door outside and asked Irene to open it, but no matter how hard they tried, there was no reply. Worried that something would happen to Irene, Jordan turned to look at Dave and Kinsey, "It seems that the only way now is to break the door down!"

Dave and Kinsey had no other way, so they just nodded. Jordan took a few steps back and crashed the door open with force. As the door opened, they saw Irene holding her head and sitting on the bed. The three of them breathed a sigh of relief.

Irene gave her a bitter smile, "Why did you come back?"

"Uncle Thomas called us to come back. What happened?" Kinsey sat down beside Irene and looked at her with concern.

Irene didn't know how to tell Kinsey about the matter. She clenched her fingers and kept silent. Kinsey did not force her as well and she saw her phone that had been smashed into pieces on the ground. She walked over and picked it up, "Who called you just now?"

"Marie."

"Marie?" Kinsey was stunned. What did Marie say to Irene that would make her throw her phone to the ground? "Marie is just an evil and mean person. You don't have to take her words seriously."

Marie was such a vicious woman. She must have exaggerated with her words. Irene should not believe her words. However, Dave had personally admitted that he liked her mother. Kinsey listened to Irene's words and comforted her, "Irene, why don't you think about it more? Although Dave is not your biological uncle, he has been treating you so well just like how a real uncle would for all these years. I don't think you should worry about this."

"Kinsey, I'm not worried about that. It's something else. Dave actually liked my mother." Irene smiled bitterly, "Although they're not biologically related, I still feel uncomfortable with it."

Kinsey was shocked. The thing that Irene was worried about was somewhat unacceptable for other people. She thought for a moment and said, "Irene, Dave isn't related to your mother by blood.
