"I heard that your nightclub was closed down because of your partner. Your partner had offended someone he shouldn't, so they deliberately chose to shut down the nightclub."

"No way. Who told you that?" Tommy was in disbelief. His partner was Deborah's friend.

"I heard it from Mr. Brendon's subordinates," Sam replied.

"Mr. Brendon? Why haven't I heard of this name?"

"You hadn't been out recently, so of course you don't know who Mr. Brendon is. Mr. Brendon is someone who came to San Fetillo from the capital city recently. "They didn't say so. However, they're saying that Logan Wheeler wasn't the real owner. The true investor was Mr. Cook's wife. After the nightclub was closed down, Mr. Cook went to find someone and found out that his wife had invested in it. In the end, the investment funds by Mr. Cook's wife were returned to him. "Are you serious?" Molten anger filled Tommy.

"That's what they said. I think ninety percent of it is true. Think about it yourself. Mr. Cook has been an official for so many years. It's not an exaggeration to say that he might be corrupted."

"So I'm the only one who has nothing to lose here?" Tommy was furious, "We can't just let it go like this!"

"I have to get my money back."
