12 - Chapter Twelve - Thanatos Alexander's Point Of View

When I woke up I was in bed alone, I figured forest hand left to go to school. I was right he had left for school. I crawled out of bed and went on a hunt to find food. The baby had started to be able to kick about a week ago and it was magical. Forest was excited. He was just buzzing about the baby kicking. He was taking this whole baby thing so well. I had no fears about him being a bad father, all the fears about parenting were with me.

My parents were made aware of their going to be born grandchild a few days ago and they were not all that happy that they had only been finding out right now. I said I was sorry and told them it was because I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to actually carry a child. Also, I didn't want them to be mad. I was carrying a child in the middle of the war.

My mother told me to stop worrying and it will be fine, she said that even she had these same fears when she was carrying me. She said she would come to see me the moment she was free of all the things she had to do well. My father settled the war. Lucca had given my people more land and told them to be wise and not greedy with the land.

Lucca and Em had been coming over far more to keep me company well Forest was at school, Forest and I were happy together, he was excited about being a father and he couldn't wait to meet his child.

Em brought me baby clothing for our baby and that sent Kane running with teary eyes about how he could remember when his children were still babies. Quinn could only laugh as his husband and mate turned into a softy.

I walked down the stairs to hear a very angry Quinn yelling and doors slamming, it had to only be like eleven am why were they yelling. I went to find out what all the screaming was about. When I walked down the hall I laid my eyes on a Forest with yellow eyes and bloody clothing. My first instinct was to baby him and I tried but he pushed me away and went to shower.

I stood there stunned that he pushed me away from him. I went to find Quinn and when I found him he was in tears, his head in his hands. I’d never felt such sadness from him and it broke my heart. I walked quickly over to him and hugged him. 

" Quinn, what’s wrong?"

" Your mate, he punched a teacher and they want to take him to a reform center to learn how to behave"

" What did the teacher do?"

" The teacher was the history teacher and the teacher told forest that the alpha war was only won because the vampires grew too uncontrollable and rabid and they were put down."

" That's not true and I won't let forest fall for something that means a lot to him."

" Thanatos, what are you going to do? They want to take him away in a few days for over a year."
