Hugo didn't want to argue with Pearl. Glancing at her stomach, he gave a weird smile. "You got rid of the baby. How nice!"

Pearl almost forgot just how crazy Hugo could be. "I mean what I say. If you keep messing with my loved ones, I'll make sure you regret it."

Pearl didn't want to waste her time talking to Hugo. She gave him a sharp look and went back to the hospital room.

There, she found out Saule had inhaled some strange gas, which made her faint. Thankfully, she didn't breathe in much, so she was okay.

Saule was still out cold when Richard got there, worried.

"What's going on? How did she just faint like that?" he asked.

After a moment, Pearl looked serious. "The doctor said she inhaled some weird gas. And I ran into Hugo. I think he's behind it."

Richard's expression darkened. "But Hugo was at a business meeting with me. So, he didn't act alone."

Then, who could it be?

Pearl thought of a name but immediately doubted it. It seemed unlikely.

Richard noticed Pearl looked troubled and asked, "Do you suspect someone?"

"Yeah."

"Gigi."

"Gigi."

Gigi meant a lot to Pearl. Besides, Gigi was different from Silas. If Silas messed up, his family was there. But Gigi only had Pearl as family.

"Let's not tip off Hugo yet."

Richard thought it over and suggested, "We might use this to catch Hugo."

Saule got better and went home after two days in the hospital.

Back home, Gigi was cooking. She came over, all happy to see them. "Aunt Saule, Pea, Richard, you're back."
