"You're really smart, Miss Pearl." Claude laughed and stopped doubting.

"So, do you have any proof that Esther told you to do this?" Pearl asked.

Diego was surprised by how clever Pearl seemed without even trying. It looked like she wouldn't be easy to trick.

"Of course, I've got proof." Diego pulled out his phone and showed her a bank transfer. "See? This is the money Esther sent me."

Pearl saw the transaction and noticed it was from a Sanders family credit card. She read the card number out loud and asked Esther, "Are you still using this card?"

Esther went pale instantly. "Yes… I'm using that card."

Her father always put money on that card for her. So, she generally didn't care about the details of her expenses.
