Pearl took a deep breath; now was not the time to blame the supervisor. She looked around and saw that the floor was very clean. It looked like no one had come in.

"Did the person wear shoe covers when they came in?"

The supervisor nodded quickly. "If nothing was messed up, that must be why. There's no dust on the floor when we walk in."

Pearl crouched down to take a closer look. The floor wasn't completely clean. There was some dust in the corner, and it looked like someone had cleaned it on purpose.

Pearl noticed this and stood up. She asked calmly, "How often do you clean this place?"

The supervisor was surprised by the question and paused. "We clean it twice a day. Once in the morning when we get here and again at night before we leave."

Pearl seemed to confirm something after hearing this. The supervisor was not telling the truth.

"Why are you trying to protect that person?" Pearl laughed and exposed the lie without mercy.

When the supervisor heard this, he yelled, upset. "Miss Pearl, I admit we didn't do our job well, and that was the reason for the mistake. But you can't blame the wrong person. How can you pin such a big accusation on me?"

"Don't you know if I'm accusing you wrongly?" Pearl laughed again and pointed at the floor. "Can you answer my question? You knew someone broke in last night. So why did you insist on cleaning the place this morning?"

The supervisor was lost for words. He couldn't think of an excuse. Finally, he said, "We just like to keep things clean. We didn't think much about it."

"Why did you try to hide the evidence?"

The supervisor stepped in front of the man as Pearl questioned him. "Miss Pearl, that's not fair. He's just a regular worker. How can you blame such a serious thing on him?"

The man looked away and started to sweat nervously.

"I'll find out if I'm wrong after I ask him." Pearl gently pushed the supervisor aside, and he stepped back without resisting.

Seeing Pearl's firm stance, the supervisor felt intimidated as he knew she was skilled in combat.

Pearl smirked, crossed her arms, and faced the man. "Tell me who told you to do this. And where is the person who tampered with the samples now?"
