"There's no special reason. I just thought of it now." Blake held his chin with one hand and looked at her closely. "It's also what I've been planning."

Rosalie didn't know what to say at first. After a while, she replied, "I'll take it as a joke then."

Blake looked disappointed. "Why? I wasn't joking."

Rosalie felt awkward. "I've never thought about this stuff. I don't want to date, and I didn't expect you to like me."

Blake put his hands on the table, looking confused. "Why? Isn't it obvious that I like you?"

"Is it?" Rosalie always found love confusing. She wasn't shocked by his words, just baffled. "When did you start liking me?"

Blake clenched his teeth in frustration. "I'm so nice to you and even stay at your house. I've done so many things for you. Would I do that if I didn't like you?"

Rosalie looked at him and said bluntly, "I always thought you were a bit crazy..."

Blake got so mad he could hardly breathe. He couldn't understand why she was so clueless.

"Okay, now that you know I like you, can you say yes?" Blake stared at her intensely, as if his gaze could sway her.

"I don't know. I've never thought about dating." Rosalie sounded unsure but started to explain. "My life is always about studying, working, and caring for my aunt. I've never considered dating or being in a relationship. So, it's surprising that you just appeared in my life. Other men have tried to chase me, but I never took them seriously. I didn't feel right for them."

Blake said, "I think we're perfect for each other."

Blake saw she was sincere. Feeling helpless, he asked, "So, why do you think you don't deserve me?"

Embarrassed, Rosalie kept her head down and explained, "In every way. I think you deserve someone better. So, I don't understand why you'd like me."

"Rosalie."

Rosalie looked up. It was the first time he had said her name so firmly.

"Do you think I care about that?"

Rosalie didn't know what to say. She replied helplessly, "I think we should forget about this. Let's not talk about it for now."
