"I searched for you for so long, almost to the point of losing hope. I almost suffered from depression over the years. Luckily, James was always by my side, so I didn't end up in that situation." Esther's words became increasingly heartbreaking.

Pearl hugged her, gently stroking her hair. "Alright, don't be sad anymore. It's all in the past."

"How can it be just like that…" Esther's voice trembled, soft and fragile, "You owe me so many years. You should make it up to me."

Pearl couldn't help but chuckle. "Okay. Then what do you want?"

Esther buried her head in Pearl's shoulder, pouting as she thought for a while. "How about you lend me your cutie pie to play with?"

It took Pearl a moment to understand. The cutie pie she referred to was Darius. "Why don't you have a baby with James?" she teased.

"I don't have time for that. We haven't even gotten married yet."

Pearl was surprised. "Why haven't you two gotten married?"

"Didn't you promise that you'll be the witness for our wedding? Why would I get married when you weren't here? I had to find you. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to rest in peace."

Esther spoke out of frustration, but Pearl quickly covered her mouth. "What nonsense are you talking about? You keep talking about death."

"But I really miss you, and James has been very respectful to me. He promised me that we'll get married after we found you."

Soon, they arrived at the Waldorfs' house.

The house felt empty. Hugo and Mobius were no longer around, and Sean rarely returned. Susan was the only one there.

Pearl asked about Feather's condition and learned that she was pregnant and currently in the hospital for delivery. Susan had rushed home only because she heard that Pearl was back.

Pearl's heart warmed, and she said, "It's okay. My return isn't a big deal. You should take care of Fifi first."

Susan looked at Pearl, standing there alive and well, tears filling her eyes. She immediately hugged her. "Oh, Pearl, you're finally back. You don't know how we've been getting through these years. We all miss you so much."
