Dark Bar was still lively at three in the afternoon. Esther sat at her usual spot, indulging in one drink after another. She seemed determined to get drunk today, not minding her alcohol intake.

Attracted by her beauty, several men attempted to flirt, but her intimidating gaze scared them off. However, some bold ones still tried to make a move. Esther had to kick one of the men away.

"I've told you multiple times, don't bother me." With a few years of martial arts training, no one dared to mess with her.

She returned to her calmness and continued drinking to drown her sorrows. Then, out of the blue, she called James. "Hey."

Hearing the noisy background, James frowned. Esther usually avoided him, let alone calling him. This unexpected call, combined with the noisy background, made James worry.

"Can you come pick me up?" Esther's voice was slurred from the alcohol.

"Where are you now? Are you at the bar?"

"Yeah, I'm at Dark Bar. Could you come and get me?" Drunk Esther seemed more playful, like a mischievous girl than her usual cold demeanor.

James reluctantly agreed. "Give me thirty minutes. I'll be there soon."

When James arrived, Esther was already dancing wildly on stage. Someone suggested a strip dance, and Esther obliged with a seductive smile.

The man sniffed her coat deeply and shouted, "Keep going, take them off!" The crowd burst into laughter.

After the ordeal, James decided not to stop her and brought her back to her seat. He poured a few glasses of wine and slammed them on the table. "Drink up."

Esther was surprised. "What's gotten into you today? Why did you suddenly allow me to drink?"

James smirked. "Nothing's wrong. You wanted to drink, right? Then I'll drink with you."

He didn't even let her drink before, let alone drink with her. Was he having a change of heart today?

Although surprised, Esther still picked up her glass and started drinking one glass after another.
