Today we go to our last location, hoping against all odds that we will find any of his prisoners alive. It is still dark outside, when we get into the cars and head to our last destination. 

Paul puts his hand on my knees, I put mine on top of his and look at him, smiling. I still cannot believe I found my Mate or better said I can’t believe I didn’t run 

My entire life I figured I didn’t need a man and that I would run in the opposite direction if I ever found my Mate. However, the second I looked into his eyes, I knew I had found the place where I belonged and I am glad I have him with me. 

I lean towards him and he knows exactly what I want, so he grabs my face in both his hands and kisses me without holding back. 

Paul holds me close to him and he chuckles when I try to snuggle closer to him. After we waste any time and before the night was over we had mated and marked one and other.

Being a Lycan I always figured that a Werewolf as a Mate, would be a disappointment, but Paul proved me wrong. He knows exactly what I need and want and he is not afraid to give it to me. 

His hand slides up my thigh, I try to stop him because we are not alone. But he just keeps going, further up my thigh and when he reaches my core I give in. Through my clothes he finds my sensitive spot and starts rubbing it. 

I let my knees fall to the side to give him better access and then he puts more pressure with his hand. My eyes shut on their own, my head drops back and I have to bite my lip to keep from moaning out loud. 

My breath starts to falter, I can feel he is about to push me over the edge and Paul starts rubbing faster. I climax hard and somehow I have managed to keep quiet, even though I know for sure our driver knows what happened. 

After I catch my breath, I whisper in his car “You are going to pay for this, Wolf.” And all Paul does, is chuckle and pulling me to his side. Somewhere along the drive I must have dozed off, because when Paul wakes me, we are at our destination. 

The last location we have to search, some teams have already searched every hide–out assigned to them and some have their last search today, just like us. 

None of us have any hope left on finding survivors, so our main concern right now is to find anything that can answer question about Alpha Max or Grace. Unfortunately we haven’t found much that could contain any information that might provide answers. 

We split our team in to three, so we can search faster and more sufficient. Paul and I walk around the ground floor, opening every door we come across, only to find them empty. Then Paul opens a door that leads to the basement “Probably more bodies.” He says through our mind–link.

Jenna follows me down the stairs and even though I know she can handle herself, a part of me wants to Reep her from what we are about to find. I can hear Lex pacing in my head, he doesn’t like the fact that Jenna is here with us, but he knows that she would not appreciate it if we told her to stay outside.

We can already smell the scent of blood and death, it doesn’t upset me as much as it did the first time I smelled it walking into a basement. And I am glad that Alpha Max is already dead, otherwise I would be more than willing to help him out of this world. 

At the bottom of the stairs is a small narrow hallway and at the end of it is a door. Slowly I open the door and the stench becomes almost unbearable, I have to brace myself to make sure I don’t empty my stomach. 

I hear Jenna a gasp and for a second I contemplate tossing her over my shoulder and run out of the building. But then we hear a whimper coming from inside the room, I take a deep breath and the 

open 

door further. 

Again I see cages with dead bodies in them and I wonder where the noise came from, then I hear it again. 

We step in to the room and I start walking past the cages, looking to see who made the noise we heard. Jenna grabs my hand, I turn towards her and follow her gaze. 

She is looking at a cage to the far right of the room, the She–wolf inside is dead, but the Wolf lying in front of the cage is still breathing, barely.
