Matrius has been a pain in the ass these past few days, he won’t tell me what is bothering him and I have shoved him to the back of my mind quite a few times.

I can’t remember if he has ever behaved like this before, but nothing comes to mind. I have never heard of a Wolf constantly pacing his or her Human’s mind, nor have I ever heard of a Wolf that couldn’t answer a question from his or her Human counterpart.

Elder Larson had noticed my mood swings and when I explained to him what was going on, he had no answers for me either.

Today is the last day that we have to go through the interrogation notes of our prisoners, every aspect of the trial is finished and it has been a lengthy process.

First, we needed to decide in which order we would proceed, then we had to decide if it would be a trial without other Packs present and when it was decided that other Packs needed to be present, we had to decide which Packs would get the invitation.

Mateja and Giselle had been present during those conversations and both had been quiet during the entire process. When King Damon had asked why they hadn’t said a word, Mateja had turned to him and said, “Why would I have to say anything if you covered all the bases? If you had dropped the ball somewhere I would have spoken up.”

Giselle had agreed with Mateja, showing us that as long as they are quiet, we are moving in the right direction, and otherwise, we might need to find a new job.

“Last but not least, the files on Dawn AKA Charlotte. Does anyone know which is her birth name yet?” I ask and I see a smirk on Morgan’s face. “Let me guess, neither one.”

“Yep.” She says while popping the P. “Her birth name is Mary and she grew up here on Palace grounds.”

What The Fuck. Morgan has got to be kidding, no one leaves Palace grounds willingly and that means that we have a file on her at the Academy.

Morgan is holding up a file and I don’t have to ask whose file it is.

“Mary was eighteen when she left the territory, she had been relentless in pursuing Damon’s Father and tried to attack his fated Mate when he found her. She was ordered to never return to the Palace and never to set foot in the territory again.” Morgan states.
