Chapter 479
Maleah’s p.o.v.

While Delaney and I are getting ready for the Ball, we discuss her Mates reactions to the color of her dress and we know that Dillon doesn’t care about it one iota.

Dax might be a bit shocked, he isn’t a huge fan of bright colors. In the end he will just shrug his shoulders and go with the flow.

Dominic is quite a different story, he hates the color pink and that goes for every shade it comes in. Probably one of the reasons why I chose hot pink as the color for Delaney’s dress, I truly believe he will refuse to use the cumber band, bowtie and pocket square.

“No, Maleh. Dominic will be fully dressed when we walk into that suite, he might act as if he doesn’t want to wear that color, but he will do it. He promised me he would wear any color to match my outfit.” Delaney says.

I look at her in the reflection of the mirror and just shake my head, “I am going to bet you that not only will he not be fully dressed, he will also refuse to put it on when you as him.” I say and for a moment we just stare at one another.

“Fine, I’ll take that bet. What are we going to put in as a wager?” Delaney asks.

“If I am right, you will hang the drawing of the Triplets where everyone can see it. If you are right, the drawing of my Mates will go up for everyone to see.” I say with a smile on my face.

I see her face pale and I think I have at least gotten half of our bet right. “Dominic isn’t happy and if I can trust these feelings, than Dillon is having a lot of fun at the expense of his Brother.” Delaney says.

We both continue with getting ready for the Ball and every now and then I see Delaney shaking her head. She doesn’t look happy by the time we are done and I link Mack to ask if we can come in, after that I knock on the door to warn the others.

I feel Delaney stiffen as she steps into their suite and the moment I see Dominic, I know shit is going to hit the fan.

“Why aren’t you ready, Babe?” Delaney asks as she walks towards Dominic.

“I am not going to wear anything that is pink and there is nothing you can say or do to make me change my mind.” He growls and I notice a change in Delaney’s demeanor.

“Fine. I hope you will enjoy your stay here and maybe you can find someone that will put up with your nonsense. Maleah, can you get someone to bring me to Blood Crescent Pack, seems I need to pack.” Delaney says, just before she passes me and goes back into my suite.

“I am not going anywhere, I have a job to do tonight and I will see it through until the end.” I say as I look at my Mates and I see relief wash over their faces.

Dax and Dillon are looking at Dominic, but the fucking Idiot just sits there. If he thinks his Mate is kidding, he doesn’t know her as well as I had hoped and I see a surprised look on his face when Delaney walks back into their suite.

“He fell asleep after dinner and no matter what we tried we couldn’t wake him, I even offered to empty a glass of water on him. But someone had to point out that Alpha Dominic can still kick my ass, so…” Mack let’s the sentence trail off, but I didn’t miss the fact that he was pointing at me when he mentioned the word someone.

Everyone around us is chuckling and giggling at Mack’s words and I hope it will be enough to keep others from asking questions.

“You better behave the rest of the evening or you can join Dominic on the couch.” I say teasingly through our mind-link and his grip on my arm loosens for a second, which is enough for Levi to push him to the side.

“Let’s mingle and see what this evening brings for some of the guests.” Levi says.

We are all having fun and Delaney isn’t letting Dominic’s behavior ruin her evening. She dances with Dillon and Dax, she even dances with my Mates and when Alpha Kenyon asks Dax if he can dance with his Luna, Dax says, “I think you should ask her that yourself.”

“When will the truth be revealed?” Dax asks, while he keeps an eye on his Mate.

I didn’t want to ruin everyone’s night, but there is the only time that everyone will be in the Ballroom and facing the big screen behind the Queen. Most of the guests will leave in the morning, so during the Queen’s speech is the best time.

“The moment the Queen’s speech starts.” I answer.
