Chapter 1669 Do Not Panic

When everyone heard that, they were filled with excitement and immediately rushed out of the residence. Jared saw that everyone was present and frowned. “Did something happen?”

“Jared, look at this.” Lizbeth stepped forward and passed the invitation from Warriors Alliance to him.

Then, her gaze fell onto Evangeline, who was standing behind Jared. However, she did not say anything.

Jared took the invitation and immediately flew into a rage.

“This Skylar deserves death!” He gritted his teeth, as the invitation in his hands turned into ashes.

“Wait for me here. I’m heading to Warriors Alliance now.” With that, Jared turned and left.

“Jared, Skylar is a cunning and shrewd man. It’s too dangerous if you go there alone!” Rayleigh called out.

“Mr. Deragon, don’t worry. I’ll be careful!” After he said that, he left toward the direction of Warriors Alliance.

The invitation had said for Jared to go alone. Hence, he would not bring anyone for Josephine’s safety.

Evangeline, however, immediately followed Jared as he walked away.

“Jared, this girl is—”

Lizbeth wanted to tell Jared that Evangeline was following him.

Jared turned back and saw Evangeline. He uttered, “Stay here.”

Evangeline’s eyes were glazed and unfocused. However, she shook her head expressionlessly.

Lizbeth looked at Jared strangely.

“I’ll explain to you when I come back. Skylar will probably not mind her following me,” Jared said to Lizbeth before taking Evangeline and speeding off to Warriors Alliance.

Evangeline was no different from a puppet now. Moreover, there was no aura coming from her.

Therefore, Skylar would not say anything if Jared brought her along.

After Josephine entered the cage, it was hung up high. She was like a caged animal for everyone to view.

“Have you thought through this? Do you know of the consequences? If Jared managed to save this woman, we are both going to die…”
