A Mate for the Latecomer novel Chapter 31

Read A Mate for the Latecomer Chapter 31: Lie to Me - the best manga of 2020

Of the Internet stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is A Mate for the Latecomer. The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to Chapter 31: Lie to Me. Let's read the author's A Mate for the Latecomer Internet story right here.

Numb, sore and dead are the things I'm feeling right now.

My eyes slowly open and try adjusting to the bright light shining through the window. I turn to the side about to get out of bed only to find a fresh jug of water and breakfast on my night stand.

Feeling thirsty I pour a glass of water and gulp it in one go. Ignoring the pain at my back I push myself to stand up making my way to the bathroom. My reflection in the room was a mess 'you look like a train ran over you' Eliz laughs in my head. ' so do you' I retorted.

My eyes trailing my reflection until it rested on the bandage around my arm which brings back memories why I'm in pain, and what really did shock me. So I took another deep breath in then out, trying to relax myself.

'You know he saved us' I talk to Eliz

'No' she retorted.

'Eliz-' she growls at me refusing to listen 'Don't Elle' I shook my head 'He deserves a thank you at least' she shut out our link with one another. I took a shower before changing in to a skinny jean, a black tee with a denim jacket to warm myself.

There was no one in the living room when I arrived downstairs, then I heard voices from the office. I knock on it nervously before wiping away the sweat on my hands and open it. No one speaks when they saw me in the door way, I closed it behind me.

"You're up" Conrad stood up from his chair

"Yeah"

"You shouldn't be in here" Eric looks at me sternly.

Feeling ashamed since he was right I mean I'm not an Alpha or Luna or beta, I pressed my lips together

"I'm sorry I'll just wait outside" and I didn't think twice as I opened the door again and stepped outside closing the door behind me my eyes hot with tears. The meeting prolongs a little but I still wait and once I hear the door opens I lower my head. My eyes watching footsteps passing by me, then a pair of el paso's brown Derby.

"Glad you're awake" I turn up to find Jay smiling at me placing his hand on my shoulder to greet me,

"You lied to me" he removed his hand from my shoulder.
