A Mate for the Latecomer novel Chapter 40

A year later

"I miss you so much" Aberdeen crushed me in a hug.

"It's good to be back" I muttered "I know, now come along there's a hottie at home" she winks at me and sashay's her way to the car.

After running away from the funeral I decided to grab my stuff from Aaron's pack and left for the human realms. How did I even get there? Well Jea says wolves can still cross the barrier without harm and I used a car to travel through the distance. I called back to apologise to Aberdeen and told her that I need to rethink everything including what I want to do with my life.

So going to the human realms was the best thing that ever happened to me. I met so many wonderful people and was able to live a life of a human being. They changed my perspective and even made me fall in love with kids and I wished to adopt one someday. Then again there was one thing I didn't get to fulfil and that is meeting the awesome boy band who sings my favourite song 'boy with luv' none other than the BTS.

'You never get the moves right' Eliz joke and I glare at her even more 'Whatever' I answer. I thought living in the human realm was going to be easy yet you have to earn a living and me struggling for the first year to survive to the point where I didn't have enough money to buy a ticket 'And you still don't' Eliz again laughs at me.

It was a whole new phase for me as there were no wolves, hunters, rogues or any mates. It just me, myself and the wonders of their world as it was shown in the movies that we use to watch back in our realm despite the struggle. Well even though the trip was short, I should have taken 3 or maybe 5 years but at least I have relieved myself for the time being.

Coming back was something I wanted to do; no one can have left things unamended. We all need to make amendments, forgive and then forget.

Here I am back in the Alcader's pack, my pack where I will always belong to. Once we arrived back at the pack house I saw Leto outside with their son Augustus. Yeah Aberdeen told me that she gave birth to a boy and I must say he's so adorable in his photo from the ones Aber had shown me in the car on our way here.

When the car parked Leto walked towards us handing the baby to Aber then spread his arms wide for me and I run in to them. He drags me to Josh's office his hand still on my arms.

"I swear he's been nagging me about you" Aberdeen shook her head in annoyance.

We enter the office and I see someone talking to the alpha, Aber punches me on the shoulder pointing her head to his direction then winks at me. Josh stopped talking and stood up from his desk. I went up to him "It's good to have you back" he pats me on the shoulder. He turns me around to face a young handsome werewolf male; by his looks he is unmated.
