"Do you think Demi might have fainted back then and someone had saved her? Is that why she thinks she has died once?" Alex guessed with a frown.

Hearing that, Thomas suddenly had a realization. "I think that's possible."

"She's a grown-up now, so how can she not differentiate fainting and being dead?" Harold said with a harrumph.

"Maybe she also had a hallucination when she was close to dying, so she felt she did die once. Most people would feel their souls leaving their bodies when they were about to die. They would say they had gone to somewhere like a black hole," Alex continued guessing.

Soon after that, he looked toward Harold. "Harold, you're a doctor, so you should know that!"

Harold was stunned a little. Then, he cleared his throat and said unwillingly, "That could be possible…"

Then, Stephen said coldly, "Alex's explanation makes sense. We might think she's perfectly fine, but she might have experienced death once. You guys have seen the surveillance footage, and anyone who went through the situation would feel the same way as well!

"So, when you guys see her next time, don't confidently say she's fine. Stop asking her why she didn't tell us she was fine too. You shouldn't say she's trying to gaslight us as well! Now, we're the ones at fault here, so we need to coax her into coming home."

After that, he added, "She didn't do anything wrong, and we need to know how to treat her right—especially you, Harold! Tone down that bad temper of yours. You were also there when Demi was left in the car!"

Harold bit his lip in anger, but he didn't say anything.

Stephen looked at Ana after he was done telling Harold off, and she immediately felt nervous.
