Michelle wanted to tell Ana that there was no way Demi wouldn't like the latter but remembered how things had become. Demi wasn't the same gentle woman who would listen to them and try to please them anymore.

So, Michelle sighed and said, "Let's not worry about that first. From now on, just get along with her."

"Your mom's right. You two should get along from now on!" Stephen glanced at Ana before shooting a warning look at his four sons. "As for you guys, you have to be a good brother and treat Demi nicely!"

Then, he turned to Michelle. "That includes you too. Don't turn our family upside down and make everyone upset!"

"Got it."

Although the four Pitt brothers had a strange look on their faces, they still agreed to what Stephen said with a nod. Meanwhile, Michelle felt embarrassed and lowered her head without saying anything. As for Ana, she just nodded silently.

"Well, we'll talk to Demi now and tell her we want her home, Dad. Then, we can celebrate her birthday with Ana and treat her and Ana as twins," Thomas said excitedly.

He might be the person in the family who hoped to reconcile with Demi the most. In the past, he only wanted to clear things up with her because it was his mission, and he also felt a little guilty back then. However, ever since she saved him from the ocean, he sincerely wanted to break the ice with her.

So, he really wanted her to come home with him so that he could be her brother.

"I don't think it's wise to go now. After all, she's still mad right now. If she says anything else, we'll be in trouble," Alex said with a frown. He was referring to how Ana wasn't the real daughter of the Pitt family.

"Yes, Alex has a point!" Daniel and Harold nodded at the same time.

With that, Thomas' idea was shot down immediately.

"Let's just get out and entertain our guests first. Since we already have a plan, there's no harm in waiting a little longer," Stephen said as he hurriedly got up. Then, he opened the door and got ready to head out.

However, when he opened the door, Robert almost fell into the room.

"What are you doing here? Didn't I tell you to entertain our guests?" Stephen was infuriated as he frowned at Robert.

The others just exchanged glances before catching up with him in a hurry.

After they left the lounge, they saw the nearly untouched food and the beautifully-decorated yet empty hall. There were still two more performers on stage. Since the atmosphere was becoming more and more awkward, the performers felt the same way as well.

When Robert saw them, he was surprised. He had forgotten to tell the performers to go home. Meanwhile, Stephen took a deep breath and sighed in the end.

"We should at least finish singing our birthday song and have some cake to complete the event!" Michelle suggested.

After the Pitts finished singing the happy birthday song and had some cake, they walked out of the hall. Upon exiting the hall, they heard the crowd in the opposite hall singing the same song loudly. Although the doors were great at keeping out sounds, they still couldn't keep the song from coming through.

Ana's eyes were already teary since just now. After hearing the crowd, she teared up even more.
