When Felix visited Benedict the next day and played chess with the latter, he noticed Benedict was wearing a similar ring. Benedict also realized Felix had a similar ring as him.

"Did Demi give you that?" Benedict asked as he looked at the ring on Felix's finger.

"Yes. Did she give it to you too?" asked Felix.

"That's right." Benedict nodded.

"You see, Dad? I knew it was worthless. That's why she can take two out at once," Carson continued his theory from the night before.

"Felix, my dad gave his precious dragon stamp to that young lady for this… unknown ring!" Millie said angrily.

"Shut up, both of you! If you want to badmouth Demi in front of me, get lost!" Benedict roared solemnly.

Felix didn't like it when someone talked behind Demi's back as well because she was truly an incredible doctor. After all, she managed to cure him and Benedict when no one else could. However, Millie and Carson were his seniors, and Felix couldn't say much about it.

"Felix, have you realized how much better you feel after putting the ring on? I think it's quite nice. They said it was a placebo, but it still felt nice!" Benedict said with a chuckle as he made his next move.

After hearing what he said, Felix was stunned a little. He never would've noticed it if Benedict didn't mention it. However, he suddenly realized that his body did feel better than before, and his mind felt clearer too.

"I think so too." Felix nodded.

Benedict felt the same way as well and angrily looked at his children. There was disappointment in his gaze.

"Without her, I would've been ashes by now! Alright, that's enough. You should leave now. I shouldn't have had any hopes for you two at all! I've always been by myself and thought I could enjoy having my children at my age. In the end, you're just here to infuriate me!"

Hearing that, Carson and Millie immediately stopped being angry and said sincerely, "We know our mistakes now, Dad!"

They could tell that Benedict was really angry at that moment.

Although Benedict had retired and stopped interfering in many things, many people still thought of him as a great person.
