Demi felt amused and looked at Seamus solemnly. "But I'm being serious."

Then, she waved at everyone and said, "Well, I'll be taking my leave now, Mr. West Senior, Dr. Finnegan, Mr. Weston."

"See our guest out," Benedict said to Sean. Hearing that, Sean hurriedly caught up with Demi.

"Ms. Demi, can Mr. West Senior really do whatever he wants now?" Sean couldn't help asking when they were in the yard.

"Mr. Weston, what do you think of my medical skills?" Demi glanced at him with a smile.

"They're awesome!" Sean answered with a thumbs up.

"Then, do you think I'm someone who would joke around with someone's life?" She glanced at him once more.

"No." Sean shook his head immediately.

"Well, that answers your question, right?" she said with a smile.

So, he just silently thought she made sense.

Back in the house, Carson was still frowning deeply. "Dad, I think that young lady is just being ridiculous!"

"Is that so?" Benedict thought nothing of it and just drank his coffee. Then, he fiddled with the emerald ring.

"Dr. Finnegan, please say something." Carson helplessly looked at Seamus.

"Well, this is way out of my expertise," Seamus said awkwardly.

At that moment, he felt conflicted. On one hand, he knew Benedict shouldn't go anywhere based on his medical knowledge. On the other hand, he believed Demi wasn't just spouting nonsense.

Hearing his response, Carson was speechless.

After Sean accompanied Demi to the gate, she told him to get back inside. When she passed by Felix's villa, she stopped in her tracks and pressed the doorbell.

Seeing how the lights inside were still on, she figured he was still awake.

"It's late. Is there an emergency?" Felix asked as he waited at the door for her. As he spoke, he stepped to the side to let her in.

"I won't be entering the house this time." Demi opened her hand and reached out to him. "Take this emerald ring and wear it every day. Think of it as a lucky charm."

She had been thinking how she should thank Felix. With Benedict's reminder, she finally thought of this solution.

"A lucky charm, huh?" Felix said with an eyebrow raised. Although he had his doubts, he still accepted the ring. It was lighter in color than the one Demi had given Benedict.

"Alright, I'll be leaving now." She waved at him and turned to leave.

Felix looked down at the ring before looking at her again. Then, he put the ring on in the end. He wasn't superstitious at all. If someone gave him a lucky charm, he would've told them to get lost without a doubt. However, if it was from Demi, he would willingly put it on.
