When Millie and Carson heard that, they thought Demi was being more and more ridiculous. Was Demi trying to coax a child?

"This is a nice-looking emerald." Benedict had seen his fair share of quality goods in his life, and he kept studying the ring nonstop.

"Dad, what does this have to do with the quality of the ring? No matter how good it is, how is it going to save you?" Millie was so anxious that she was about to stomp her foot.

Meanwhile, Demi was thinking about how the ring could really save a person's life. After all, there was a protective spell on the ring, and it could protect its wearer in a time of crisis.

The ring also had spiritual energy infused in it and a spell to gather more energy around it. As the wearer absorbed the energy, they would slowly recover from their sickness and pain, and their strength would improve greatly. It was like taking supplements, but it was way more effective than that.

Benedict chuckled as he put the ring on his finger. After adjusting it a little, he said happily, "It's a perfect fit."

Carson couldn't help but say, "Dad, you're not a superstitious guy, so why do you believe in lucky charms?"

Benedict thought Carson was a party-pooper, and he glared at the latter before smiling at Demi. "It's your birthday today, but I haven't gotten you anything. Meanwhile, you've already given me something so great!"

After saying that, he looked at Sean and said, "Go to my bedroom and bring me that stamp."

Sean's eyes widened in shock. However, Sean said nothing about it and left the living room in a hurry. After a short while, he returned quickly with a red box and passed it to Benedict.

Benedict opened the box and handed it to Demi. "This is the most precious item I have with me, and I want you to have it. Think of it as a small token for the ring. What do you think?"

Inside the box was a red stamp that was as big as one's palm. It was carved from a ruby into the shape of a dragon.

"I was planning to take the ring back at first. However, since I've already accepted Mr. West Senior's gift, I can't do that anymore. So, let's just think of it as a gift for Mr. West Senior."

Although Demi had countless gifts in her spatial ring, there weren't a lot of items that were as useful as the emerald ring. She made some of them herself when she learned how to cultivate items, and she got the rest casually when she left the mountains.

If she gave one to each person she saw, it clearly wouldn't be enough.

"Alright. It's getting late. I should head back now." Demi turned to Benedict and said, "With this ring protecting Mr. West Senior, he can go wherever he wants to now. So, feel free to go on the trip!"

Hearing that, Carson and Millie's faces fell, and they yelled, "Dr. Moone!"

Seamus smiled helplessly. "Demi, you shouldn't joke around like that. Mr. West Senior will think you're being serious."
