After playing a few more rounds of the game, it was already past nine in the evening.

Since everyone had been busy all day and was feeling a bit tired, they decided to get ready for bed. The staff also packed up their equipment and left the tent.

Although the tent was a bit cramped for 16 people, it was too late to set up another one. Thus, they decided to squeeze in together, and fortunately, the tent was large enough.

While using the stove as a divider, they split into male and female sections and prepared to sleep.

Alex walked up to Demi, who was lying on a moisture-proof mat, and spoke in a whisper. "Emi, let's go outside and talk."

Demi looked up at him with a cold expression and a hint of impatience. "If you have anything to say, just say it here," she said.

The others couldn't help but look over upon hearing this.

Alex suddenly felt a bit awkward because of her response, and his expression stiffened.

Demi curled her lips in mockery, then lowered her head and continued what she was doing.

Thomas, seeing this, narrowed his eyes slightly. Then, he stepped forward and said loudly, "Emi, our family has confirmed that you're the daughter of the Pitts. You are our biological sister and Annie's twin!"

Everyone else was stunned. Their mouths hung wide open enough to swallow a spider.

Even Maria, who knew the truth, couldn't help but look over in surprise.

Ana also looked at Thomas in shock, her eyes filled with panic and resentment. They had promised her to only discuss this in private to prevent the truth from slipping out accidentally!

Why was Thomas talking about it in front of everyone?

Demi was momentarily stunned before the sneer at the corner of her lips deepened. "You've got the wrong person. I have nothing to do with the Pitt family!"

Thomas was speechless. He had thought she would be happy after hearing this, but she was mad. Didn't she always want them to acknowledge her?

Alex had no rebuttal to that. He felt flustered—like he was holding onto his breath with nowhere to release it.

On the other side, Herne nudged George's arm and whispered, "What's going on?"

George shot him a disdainful glance and said, "It's none of your business. Stop asking."

"Alright, Demi. We've already given you a way out. If you don't take it, don't come to us with regrets later!" Alex said coldly.

Demi lowered her gaze and spoke in a chilling, heavy voice. "The thing I most regret is ever stepping into the Pitt residence back then, trying to please and serve you."

The rest of the listeners were stunned.

What was that supposed to mean? Why would Demi have to serve the Pitt family?

Ana's face instantly paled at that. She shot up from her seat, grabbed both of her brothers by the hand, and pulled them outside.
