George had a strong presence to begin with, so he seemed quite intimidating as he stood there with a frown.

In truth, George was simply shocked and confused. He wasn't upset or anything.

No matter how he thought about the situation, it only made sense for Demi to choose him. After all, he was strong and capable of doing most work.

And to put it modestly, he had a significant amount of status and fame.

Not to mention, he had clearly expressed a strong desire to team up with Demi.

At the same time, Chad had finally snapped out of his shock, and his face immediately lit up with joy. He did not have to eat "charcoal" anymore.

The comments were still going as someone asked, "Hey, hasn't George returned to his senses yet?"

"George, you probably didn't get picked because you look too scary."

"Honestly, I'm quite curious to know why Demi didn't pick George."

"I also believe that it's because George is too stern. It'll be tense and stressful to work with him."

"Why do I feel so happy about the outcome? Haha! Maybe I'm a fake fan of his."

On the other hand, Matt chuckled and asked, "Demi, I'm curious to know why you chose Chad."

"Oh, it's because Mr. Musk and I are about the same age, so we might get along better," Demi said.

In reality, Demi believed that Chad, apart from herself, had the lowest fame among the group and would be easier to work with. Plus, Chad had a genuine, gentle, and polite personality.

The comments were filled with laughter.

"George: Are you calling me old?"

"I never thought that George would be considered too old to work with! Oh, my God! This is hilarious!"

"Honestly, considering the fact that Demi is 16, George is indeed a bit old for her."

"No, I think she just finds George to be too strict and stern. If you pay attention to her words, she claimed that she thought Chad would be much easier to work with."

"It seems like Chad's fans are quite happy about it."

Matt seemed to have come to a big realization as he said, "Oh. Let's continue then."

In the end, George chose to team up with Maria, while Thomas chose his sister, Ana, and Nigel chose his wife, Wendy.

"Honestly, all of you don't have to be so reserved. All of you could have chosen Mr or Mrs. Yale. You might be able to create some different chemistry by teaming up with different people. Am I right?" Matt hinted.

Everyone nodded, while Nigel said boldly, "All of you can choose Mrs. Yule, you don't have to worry about me."

"You all don't have to worry about me too," Wendy said with a smile.

When they entered the church, there weren't many tourists around.

That was because the production team had temporarily closed the path leading up to the mountain for filming.

However, there were still alternative routes for other tourists to reach the temple.

Most of the people who came here just wanted to make their prayers. Even when they saw celebrities, they didn't shout or crowd around them, allowing the crew to film in peace.

Once they entered the church, the first thing they did was to say their prayers.

Then, everyone was attracted to some of the spiritual blessed items that were up for sale.

Demi had no intentions of buying such things, so she stood by the sidelines as she waited for everyone to be done.

"Demi, aren't you going to buy something? You might as well since we're already here!" Maria and Wendy had asked Demi several times, but Demi shook her head each time.

Demi had plenty of treasures stored in her spatial ring, and she did not need to buy anything here.

But in the eyes of others, her refusal to buy anything came across as being poor and unwilling to spend money.

After all, spiritually blessed items were quite expensive.

Thomas glanced back at Demi and quickly scanned her expression. He then decided to buy her something to give to her as a gesture of goodwill, hoping to ease the tension between them.
