Demi shook her head and said, "I'm sorry, but this is too expensive. I can't accept this."

Although Demi didn't quite understand how they priced things here, she could tell that this wasn't cheap.

"How is it expensive?" George asked as he widened his eyes.

"How much is it?" Maria asked curiously.

"George is probably confused. He's probably questioning himself as to how 88 thousand dollars is considered expensive."

"I-It didn't cost much. It was just over ten thousand dollars," George said somewhat guiltily.

"He's stretching the 'over' part quite a bit!"

George quickly added, "I won't have any use for it at home even if you don't take it! I finished my studies quite a long time ago."

He turned to look at Demi with a persistent expression.

"You see new things everyday. It turns out that George does have such a persistent and clingy side to him!"

"For that one second, I felt like I was watching a big wolf wagging his tail."

"A big wolf? Are these comments really from his fans?"

"Maria, let's team up with Demi, Chad, and the others," George whispered quietly to Maria as they entered the forest.

He wanted to avoid letting Matt overhear their conversation and stop them.

"We can team up later. Mr. Hahn didn't say that we must split up later," Maria replied in a whisper.

"Demi, Chad, let's team up later," Wendy said boldly.

"We want to join too," Maria quickly chimed in.

"Sounds good." Demi smiled and gave them a nod.

"I—" Thomas was about to speak up when Ana suddenly pulled at his sleeves.

Thomas turned to look at her, and she shook her head gently.

Thomas hesitated momentarily, but did not continue his sentence.

Ana turned and walked off in another direction.

As she turned, she wiped the corner of her eyes.

Thomas quickly followed her.

Not long after, Ana squatted down, pretending to dig for medicinal herbs. However, she was actually wiping away her tears.
