This time, Chad finally understood the joy Maria had experienced in the previous episode. All he needed to do was tend the fire while Demi cooked.

Soon, the food was prepared. It was different from the others, who tossed all vegetables into a pot to boil or fry.

Chad turned to his unfortunate partner, George, who was now covered in soot and only managed to produce burnt dishes and felt even luckier.

He knew he would enjoy the food.

"Sean, let's have mushrooms, vegetables, and fish for lunch too." Benedict grew hungry as he watched Demi cook from his phone.

"Alright." Sean smiled.

Benedict used to be disinterested in food. But Sean was delighted that Benedict was now full of energy and had a growing appetite.

He would prepare any food Benedict craved.

Demi finished cooking all the dishes in 40 minutes and grilled the fish.

Chad eagerly set up a picnic cloth on a flat patch of ground, carefully arranging the plates of food. Then he let out a contented sigh and began eating with Demi.

Though most dishes were vegetables, Demi had prepared them in various ways, making the meal diverse. Even the fruits were given special treatment. For instance, the sour fruits were sweetened with sugar.

The other three groups also finished cooking.

Aside from Nigel and Wendy's dishes, the results of the other two groups were a mix of charred and unidentifiable dishes.

However, George was smart. Knowing his cooking skills weren't great, he made many of his ingredients into soups or stir-fries.

Maria and George, seated nearby, glanced enviously at Chad, who was eating with a satisfied smile. Maria silently cursed Ana again for being such a troublemaker.

"Call the ambulance now!" Matt ordered his staff.

A crew member pulled out a phone to make the call.

Matt ran his hand through his hair in frustration, his face filled with worry.

"How could he have been poisoned?" he muttered to himself, then froze as a thought struck him. He turned to two villagers who had been sitting nearby. "Didn't you say these plants weren't toxic?"

"They're not! We eat these ourselves all the time." The two villagers looked confused.

The production team had invited these two villagers to identify edible mushrooms, vegetables, and fruits. With years of experience foraging in the forest, they were trusted to ensure safety.

"Then what went wrong?" Matt was anxious.

Thomas was a celebrity. Matt's career would be over if anything serious happened to him!
