"Mr. Hahn, I called the ambulance. They said they were on their way. But since we're far out, they suggest we drive Mr. Pitt down and meet the ambulance halfway. That'll save time!" the staff reported.

"Yes, let's do that!" Matt nodded.

Thomas was carried into a car by the staff. Matt quickly got in, and the vehicle sped away.

"Oh my God! He really was poisoned!"

"So, the mushrooms Ana picked were poisonous?"

"What do you mean poisonous? Maybe only some were! This wouldn't have happened if Demi had just checked properly and removed all the toxic ones!"

"Why is this Demi's responsibility? Who says Demi didn't make the right decision? She knows her herbs, and it's normal for her to identify poison quickly. But Ana shouldn't randomly pick if she doesn't know what's edible! She brought this on herself and now wants to blame others!"

"I think the real blame lies with the production team. Shouldn't they ensure the safety of the guests? What if something serious happens?"

"The production team has a doctor, but they can't babysit everyone. Adults should use their judgment! If you're unsure, just don't eat it!"

"Exactly! Shouldn't you prepare yourself before joining a show like this?"

"It seems like the production team even brought in experts. I heard the director ask them earlier, and they said the ingredients weren't toxic."

"If they weren't toxic, then why did Thomas get poisoned?"

"Am I the only one wondering why Ana wasn't affected?"

"I noticed Ana didn't eat the mushrooms, vegetables, or fruit earlier. She just kept drinking the fish soup."

"Demi, were all the mushrooms Ana and I picked inedible?" Wendy approached Demi as they walked toward the villa.

"Some were edible. And I separated them," Demi replied calmly.

"So the rest were inedible?" Wendy seemed skeptical.

"Mrs. Yale, I only helped out of respect for you. I wouldn't have even bothered if Ana asked." Demi remained calm as she spoke.

"Oh…" Wendy nodded, then smiled at Demi. "Demi, don't take it the wrong way. It's just hard to believe that out of everything we picked, almost none of it was edible."

"Mushrooms in the wild are rarely edible," Demi replied.

"Did you recognize a few edible ones and assumed the ones you didn't recognize were inedible?" Nigel was curious. He sounded more inquisitive than accusatory.
