Seeing this, Madison let out a dramatic sigh and feigned sadness. "Looks like Mr. Gray has officially taken my place as the person who understands you best."

Sierra's face flushed slightly as she bit her lip. "Maddy, stop joking around. Has Cayden gone back yet?"

Madison glanced at the cold-faced man beside them, then leaned in and whispered into Sierra's ear, "Cayden got his wounds bandaged and wanted to stay until you woke up, but Mr. Gray chased him away with just one icy look.

"He said, 'I'll take care of my woman. There's no need for outsiders to interfere.' So Cayden had no choice but to leave. But Cee, did you hear that? He called you his woman."

Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she teased.

Sierra grabbed her hand, trying to keep her from getting too excited. "It was just a sentence. Don't overthink it. I feel really bad for dragging Cayden into this."

Her face showed a deep sense of guilt.

"Ahem, well, even though Mr. Gray didn't let Cayden stay, he still made sure to thank him. He knew Cayden got hurt because of you, so he actually thanked him sincerely despite his status as a president. That's not exactly what I expected from the typical domineering CEO in novels."

Madison was a little surprised.
