Sierra pressed her lips tightly together as she listened to Madison's words.

Suddenly, the sound of an argument erupted outside the room. She looked up just as the door swung open, and a bodyguard stepped in.

"Ms. Shaw, there are two people here to see you."

"Let them in."

Sierra was a little puzzled, but moments later, Liam and Janet walked in, and her expression changed slightly.

"Sierra, you really think highly of yourself, don't you? Even in the hospital, you have bodyguards standing watch. Are you afraid someone's coming after you because you've done something shameful?"

Janet sneered, and her voice dripped with sarcasm. Disdain and displeasure flickered in her eyes.

Sierra's expression turned cold. Her voice was indifferent as she responded, "I've done nothing shameful, but that doesn't stop someone from harassing me relentlessly. Since I was injured badly enough to be hospitalized, I have to take precautions. Who knows? Next time, it might not just be my shoulder that gets hurt."

The "someone" she was referring to was, of course, Benson.

Janet wasn't stupid—she immediately understood who Sierra was talking about. Her expression darkened, and just as she was about to fire back, Liam pulled her back by the arm, shooting her a warning look.

"Sierra, how's your injury?"

He stepped forward as he asked in a gentle voice full of concern, his face carrying a trace of worry.

In front of Liam, Sierra's icy demeanor softened slightly.

Liam had always been kind to her. Though they didn't see each other often, his attitude toward her had always been warm.
