Sam’s smile froze. He continued swiping left, and the next photo was the one he had just taken of the dinner table. 

An idea came to his mind as he opened his social media and posted the photo with a simple caption, “Finally reunited.” 

His post garnered numerous likes in just a short while. The comment section quickly turned lively as his followers bombarded him with questions. 

“Is this a family dinner?” 

“Sam, do you have a new love interest?” 

“It’s rare to see a casual update on your social media. Finally, something other than endless financial news and market updates.” 

“Sam, you’re always making big moves in secret.” 

“I woke up to the world falling apart. Didn’t we agree on staying single for life? How come you’re introducing your girlfriend to the family now?”

Sam scrolled through the comments and casually glanced through. Then, he suddenly paused when something caught his attention. 

Inexplicably, he clicked on the photo and zoomed in. A partial view of Miranda’s face was visible in the top right corner of the photo. 

Although only her chin and lips were shown, it was more than enough for his “detective” friends on social media to start speculating on his new love interest. 

Frowning, Sam initially thought of explaining their relationship in the comments but ultimately he decided against it. After all, most of the comments were playful teasing. Over -explaining would just make things seem more suspicious.

Sam was at a loss for words. “Forget it. It isn’t worth replying anyway,” he thought.
