Chapter 238 She's Miracle Healer's Apprentice
"W-what did you just say? You started this company because of Isabel?" Colin was completely stunned.

Lillian stared at Isabel with a mix of disbelief and confusion.

"Exactly! Do you know why Miracle Healer agreed to work with us?" Reggie said, his voice low and full of frustration. He was upset on Isabel's behalf.

What Reggie had just revealed wasn't only something Colin was curious about—it was something everyone in Solaria, and even the entire country, was eager to know.

As Colin stared at him with an eager and puzzled gaze, Reggie spoke up, "It's because Isabel is Miracle Healer's apprentice!"

The room fell silent, and shock hung in the air.

Colin and Lillian were more stunned by this revelation than when they discovered Reggie was the owner of I.Z. Corporation. Being an apprentice to Miracle Healer was a huge deal.

Isabel sat calmly on the couch, raising an eyebrow as she observed Colin and Lillian, unimpressed. After a brief pause, she turned to Reggie.

"Reg, leave them alone. Come eat. I made your favorite food. It'll get cold if you don't hurry."

"Okay." Reggie nodded and walked over to the table, taking a seat.

"Try these shrimp, Reg. I went to the dock and got them fresh this morning," Isabel said, placing a shrimp on Reggie's plate.

Reggie smiled contentedly as he also served some food for Isabel.

The warm, relaxed atmosphere between the two siblings stood in stark contrast to Colin and Lillian, who were left standing there, ignored.

"Impossible! Isabel, an apprentice to Miracle Healer? You must be lying!" Lillian was in disbelief. In her eyes, she was the family's pride. How could Isabel, who she saw as a failure, be more powerful than her?

"I knew it! You're just saying this to embarrass Dad! Isabel never studied medicine and has been useless her whole life. Miracle Healer is the best doctor in the country. How could such a high-ranking figure take someone like Isabel, who knows nothing about medicine, as an apprentice?" Lillian insisted.

The more she spoke, the more she convinced herself she was right.

Colin, listening to her, thought her logic made sense.

The two siblings must be plotting against him, trying to get back at him for kicking them out, for introducing Isabel to an old man, and for letting Isabel take the blame for Lillian's mistakes. So, they were making up stories about Miracle Healer being Isabel's mentor.

When Colin thought about it more, nothing made sense.

Isabel had always been a disappointment, useless from childhood to adulthood. That was why he always took Lillian to social events, rarely bringing Isabel because it was embarrassing.

"Reg, don't pay them any mind. Let's eat," Isabel said, picking up another dish for him.

Colin's anger flared. "Reggie, do you still recognize me as your father?"

Reggie paused mid-bite. "Aren't you the one who kicked us out?"

As Reggie pointed out, Colin was part of the family, and they lived under the same roof. If he didn't know that Amelia and Lillian had been treating Isabel harshly, then he was truly blind.

"Amelia was tough on Isabel because she wanted her to improve, not turn out useless. Who could have known Isabel would lack ambition?" Colin explained, sticking to his belief that he was always right.

He refused to admit any mistakes, especially when it came to Isabel. He genuinely thought everything that had happened was her fault and that her actions led to the current situation.

In his mind, neither Isabel nor Reggie had any reason to blame him.

As Colin spoke, Reggie's expression grew more disappointed.

"I should have expected this," Reggie said, shaking his head. "Isa was right—talking to you is pointless. It's a waste of time and hope. Leave now. There's no chance we'll work together."

"What did you say?" Colin yelled, his anger rising as he took a step toward Reggie.

"Reggie, you ungrateful brat! You're just like your sister—both of you are nothing but trouble! I came here today to work with you, but now I've changed my mind!"

"Oh?" Isabel raised an eyebrow, intrigued by what Colin would say next.

Colin sat in the office chair, looking down at Reggie and Isabel with a smug expression.

"Reggie, I've given you everything you have, even your life. If you want to cut all ties with me, go ahead, I'll let you. But from now on, I.Z. Corporation is mine!"
