~Althea
"I'm sorry, what did you say?" Landon questioned again, like he couldn't believe what he has heard. I smiled meekly, my face turning red under his scrutinising gaze.
"Alpha Kaden. He talked to me about Kace," I admit. Landon visibly tenses up at the sound of the delinquents name. I assumed he would have pulled away at this point, but instead, he had flipped me over, looming over me.
"And what did Kaden say?" He questioned. I blinked.
I knew that it would be smart to tell Landon about Kace. But the thought of him giving Kace straight to Kaden himself scared me. Even though Kace had killed, basically right in front of me, I couldn't bare to think about what Alpha Kaden would to do him.
I often hear rumours, mainly surfacing from the Purity Pack, about how someone would die from Kaden. Torture is a term used often, and I have a belief that only certain people deserve such treatment. And Kace isn't one of those people.
"It was nothing," I find myself saying, watching Landon's reaction nervously. He narrowed his eyes at me, and I knew instantly that he didn't believe me. Nothing with Alpha Kaden is just nothing.
"Althea, don't try me," Landon wanted lowly. His grip on my arm tightens to almost painful, but I don't move, not wanting admit anything. He wasn't hurting me to the point of absolute pain, he was just ensuring I would submit.
"I'm not Landon," I mutter, pulling at his harsh grip. His jaw clenches, and I know he's beyond mad. So mad I'm not sure if it's possibly to get him back to the point he was moments ago.
"Tell me what Kaden wants, or I'll go down and snap Kace's neck right now," Landon threatens. His lips are hovering above mine, and I contemplate kissing him just to see if it will calm him down.
I sigh in defeat. I was stuck in what to do. Either way, he is probably going to die. So I do the only thing that came to mind. I kissed him.
At first he was tense. He just let my lips touch his own, without even reacting. Not being insulted, I try coax him with my lips, not being able to move my hands because he still held me down.
Eventually he gave in, but didn't relax, kissing me with a sort of brutality I wasn't used to. But I excepted it, I embraced it. I wasn't used to him having such angst, so this was unexpected, and I had to admit, kind of nice.
"Tell me about what Kaden wants, Althea," Landon says between kisses. I could feel all my doubts flood out of me, as Landon's hands roamed my body. I was beginning to be unable to think straight, and I knew that's what Landon wanted. Suddenly it dawned on me that kissing him probably wasn't the best idea.
"He wants Kace," I murmur, out of breath as Landon rocks is body against my own. His lips were in my neck, my hands were in his hair.
"Did he say anything else, Althea?" He questioned. He had briefly pulled away to talk, but I soon used my hands to push his head back down to my neck. I am needy for his kisses.
He continues his assault on my neck, his hands under my shirt, caressing my stomach and waist. But as Landon kissed me, Kaden suddenly came into my mind again, and I couldn't get him out...
His dark, cruel eyes. His attractive features, he most definitely used in his favour, against innocent girls. His condescending tone of voice. And his words, his threatening, well put together words.
"He said..."
I trailed off. Landon pulled away from me, looking down at me with an insistent gaze.
"He said he would see me again."

"Please. Althea wants nothing to do with," I tell him. She doesn't. I will make sure she doesn't have to even think about Kaden ever again.
"Oh really? I'll never be able to see that gorgeous body of hers ever again? I won't be able to touch her again?" He questions. I clench my fists together, refraining from jumping at him, and striking him in the face. Kaden just laughs.
"I wonder if she tastes as good between those legs as she looks," he said. That was it. I leant over the table, grabbing Kaden by the collar of his shirt. No one is allowed to talk like that about Althea. Just hearing his words had me seeing red.
"That's it Landon, get angry...Kill me," Kaden continued to tease. I wanted to. I wanted to end his life right then and there, but deep down I know that what I planned to do isn't what a Power Pack Alpha should do.
"Hurt me young Landon. Give me a reason for vengeance," Kaden muttered. He was smiling wickedly, daring me to make a move, which he could retaliate from. I let him go, giving in a good shove so he stumbled backward toward the wall.
"You're not having anything from my Pack," I spat. Kaden straightened up, his expression still annoyingly happy. I wanted to knock that smile straight off.
"Including Kace," I add. Kace is my business. He is my business because he came near my mate, which I can't have.
"You're a new Alpha, Landon, so I'm going to give you some important information," Kaden said lowly, his voice basically a growl. I fold my arms over my chest, waiting for him to tell me. Whatever it is, I couldn't care less.
"I am the Alpha of all Alphas. I don't expect you to understand, but I will do whatever I please, so your demands don't affect me in any way. I won't touch your mate...for now. But Kace, is my business."
And without, he left the room.
